A vehicle depot where machines come to do their maintenance

Instead of vehicles being maintained magicly it would be cool to have like a depot where they can come in and get maintained and having service cars for larger machinery or broken down machinery. When trucks are not doing any tasks they can get maintained while waiting at the depot.

Was thinking the same. But the maintenance mechanics need an overhaul for that. I suggest following:
1) a vehicle that is new or just got serviced has X month of break-free period. After that it gradually increase chance of breakdown every month if not serviced.
2) vehicles go to service depot by themselves, but for buildings and excavators the depo must have trucks assigned just like fueling station.
3) every serviced unit consume maintenance part and return scrap when serviced (for on-site service the trucks carry scrap on way back).

I like this BUT vehicle logic should be fixed first. Vehicles idle when there is work to do enough already and stop too much when multiple vehicles are dropping off to the same location.

I like the idea, But have 2 notes.

1) this can not work with the current mechanics for maintenance, vehicles would need to have their own maintenance mechanic for that.
im not against it, But it would be a lot more work.

2) The vehicle depot we already have spends 99% of its life idol. instead of creating a new building, just add maintenance to the one we have, and give it some much needed new life.

dont know why you would have that lol, dont you things get fixed now? yes ? so why asking that your trucks would go to a truck fixing building lol

@mathias When one runs out of Maintenance, sending them to the Vehicle Depot makes more sense than using Unity to fix the broken truck.
