assign a truck at a mining sight to deal with a particular type of material

if i have 3 trucks full of coal i want to have another one carrying dirt from my dirt priority excavator currently the extra truck will just go and fill up with coal. probably can work around that with a second mining tower but worth considering

Indeed, same problem. Maybe in mine tower config we should be able to assign quantity of trucks to haul each material presented in designated area? And anassigned ones work as before.

being able to set a filter on trucks so they ONLY respond to tasks involving their filtered material would be great... I kinda sucks seeing my coal mining operation trucks drive off with 6/20 soil simply because it scooped up (coal>soil>Coal>soil>Coal) <---- will cause, out of an alloted 2 trucks, 1 truck to continuously drive of with 6/20 soil... a big waste of fuel. It also allows me to prioritize my Construction component fabs to be cleared of output blockage when my priority for construction components = 1 but trucks are otherwise bringing other stuff elsewhere; it seems the priority setting for buildings only covers INPUT TO the buildings but not output from those building.

I just learned how to use the Advanced Logistics. It lets you assign specific storage areas to the Mining Tower. You can not assign specific trucks, but I no longer think assigning individual trucks is needed.

What would be great is the ability to set a truck to either carry materials from the mine or carry waste - sometimes my megadumpers cant reach the dump pile and I want it to use the smaller trucks for this

Or the megadumpers drive half way round the map to dump 5 rocks when the small trucks are carrying all the ore
