Pipes with no flow direction
It would be cool if we can have pipes that have no determined direction of flow so that they 'auto balance' fluids where they are needed

Belar192Came here to leave this suggestion as well. Pipes are just hollow tubes. They have no direction until there is a valve installed. The machines input and output should be the only thing that matters here. example: Lets connect pipe from the waste output from one machine to the waste output from another. The machines should function until the pipe is full, then stop until you give the waste a way out.

MichaelIRL all pipes have a flow direction

EduardoInstead of a pipe with a undefined flow.
A pump that can be controlled through signals and automated (part of some future automation update).
So depending of the player input or some sensor's signal it would change direction of the connected pipes. -

Draaz@michael not exactly true, a pipe is just a piece of metal with hole going through it. Water will flow either way; we apply pressure on one end, to make the water (fluid) go out the other end. Height applies a type of pressure as well as pumps, so hooking up outputs to a pipe should cause it to flow to whatever direction the input is on the other end.
So have the pipe have no direction flow, but a buffer like a tank, thus have an in and out like a storage tank, but only have a specific amount as to the size of the pipe that can go in and out at the same time, like it is currently. 60/200/440 (I think?) That will allow it to flow multiple directions -

Mike@Michael no, they don't even in large and huge installations. Even oil pipelines (in RL) can work in reverse. It obviously have to be accepted by the pumping station, but that's obvious. NO (except real specified) pipes have flow direction. YES, PIPE installations might have flow direction, but pipes itself, not.
