Under-clocking or half-shifts for production buildings
It's a blatant rip off of Satisfactory, but like we are able to "boost" production using unity, it would sometimes be helpful to be able to "underclock" or "half-shift" production.
For example, setting up a third blast furnace for iron smelting, but at that stage you only have access to T1 conveyors which have a maximum throughput of 60/min, however each blast furnace production chain produces 24/min, so for three 72/min exceeding T1 belt capacity, so if we could run the third blast furnace at half speed would balance this out. Could have it that it uses half the staff.

Reuben Bailey/Rascall HunterI particularly like the “half staff” idea.

DarkaiserYeah...I can totally see this for the 'balance' or 'top-off' production that could be built. Even more useful...controlling an overage in supply. Instead of pausing a facility (and then forgetting to turn it back on...), you could cut production in half. I could also see a slight Unity bump because of the time off.
