Building aera
I recently built my oil factory, and i built lots of little section of pipe. Each one taking 1 or 2 construction parts and each one delivered by 1 truck almost empty. So it's like 20 trucks back and force to build so few building. I think it is not efficient, and not verry realistic. IRL, the big projects are delimited by fences and other barriers with delivery zone, etc ... My solution :
In the same way we design mining aera, we should be able to design construction aera, This aera could work like 1 big building, and add up all the required component for every building inside its boundaries. We could also set up a delivery zone inside of it. So all the trucks will go at the same place.

RyanI like the idea of being able to fence off a refinery, smelter, harbor area or a mine for example, especially if they eventually have roads then you could have a boom gate entrance like real life. Maintenance vehicles could visit an 'area' at predetermined times.

LodeRunnerI like that and think it would be cool to extend it using the mining control tower or construction control tower to assign trucks to deliver the parts instead of the game queueing up 19 vehicles for it.

JamieWorking zones for trucks is a similar thing to how one of the old Roller Coaster Tycoon games work. Click on the worker and assign a zone using Marquee selection. This would work great for trucks.
