Additional Layer displaying each buildings active recipes

Let's say I have 5 storage buildings next to each other, it would be nice to see what they store without clicking on them.

Same goes for 5 assemblers, it would be nice to see the icon/s of what they are producing.

For anything really, just like pressing L for Layer you could have a layer toggle showing these icons.

This seems like something a mod could do. I wonder if there is one.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great idea. I was wondering if a mod could do this until the devs decide if they want to make it part of the game.
