Balancer multiple priority order
It would be nice if a balancer could have multiple priority, e.g. first go to port X, then port Y and finally port Z. This could be achived with a simple priority drop down on each slot marked priority
This would have been helpful when setting up my sulfer output from the sour water stipper, first go to the rubber maker, then go to the acid maker, then storage and finally to the burner, instead I had to chain multiple balancers together.

MimpSomething like Highest, higher, high, average, low, lower, lowest priorities might be easily indicated with multiple up/down arrows and could cycle between them with left/right clicks. (The priority system for duplicants to do tasks in Oxygen not Included does this very well.)

Ronchi MergedAllow Inputs and Outputs on the Balancer to be given a tier for priority. This can currently be achieved using multiple balancers but it seem more efficient to allow one 2x2 unit to allow this functionality.

NargonYes definitely, I need more priority levels. But because if you select multiple ports with the same priority the balancer uses the ports equally, then I think 3 input/output priority levels will be enough.
TOP Priority - for critical things, which will blocks whole factory
Normal Priority - for non-critical things, which i can supplement from another sources
Overflow (lowest) Priority - for the case i need to definitely destroy the surplus or take resource from an expensive recipe
The current solution with multiple balancers needs much more space and leaves many ports unused. I think 3 priority levels will be nice balance between number of ports and usability of the balancer. -

Cat ChenI would like to have P1 to P8 assigned to each port in a balancer. That would be very useful for water and other recyclable resources. Here’s the setup I have for a water region:
P1 Input: Recycled water from cooling tower.
P2 Input: Used water from data center.
P3 Input: Recycled water from treatment plant.
P4 Input: Rain water.
P5 Input: Underground water.
P6 Input: imported water from the map.
P7 Input: Reserved water from storage.
P1 Output: Boiler for power generation.
P2 Output: Farms.
P3 Output: Household consumption.
P4 Output: Chilling tower for data center consumption.
P5-P7 Output: Factories.
Current balancer has P1 and P2. I’m using several balancers to construct the multiple priorities I list here but it takes up resources and land. -

YandersenLMB clicking port to increase priority, RMB - to lower it. Just 3 tiers of priority should be sufficient and easy to manipulate and understand - "high", "default" and "low". At start, all ports have the "default" priority, which can be increased by LMB or decreased by RMB. Easy and handy. And sufficient.

DraazYou can already do something similar instead of using a balancer cause it to pull directly off the belt instead, first split is 50/50 seconds split off. One leg is 50/50 of that which is 25/25/50 and so on and so forth, that causes any overflow from the first to overflow onto the second leg and so on and so forth. Thus, if you put your higher priority items to go to first leg, overflow from that will continue on, which is how it works already. Then you can then run a balancer off of that leg supplying any of your factories that you need for that priority.

tippycYes please. I would love to have my desalination plant feed its own boilers first, then output to the rest of the factory, and if everything backs up, lowest priority to liquid dumps.
