Colorblind options
In multiple places, tooltips are presented in a red on black color scheme. This makes it very difficult for people like me to see what it’s trying to tell me. I can infer with reasonable accuracy, but being able to read the text properly will make life a lot easier.
Suggestion: keep the red background, but instead of black text change the text color to white, or another contrasting color so it will not blend in too easily.

Sean aka Brehon MergedI understand the resource map layer is very functional for most players. Unfortunately there are those who game who really struggle with understanding what resource is there. The color choice, while it appears to be logical and great, for the colorblind its a difficult map navigational issue. It hasn't stopped me from playing or loving it. Having an icon (perhaps one that can be turned off or on) would really take away this struggle speedbump and vastly improve qol in my gameplay.

CATman4L Mergedif it helps until theres a setting you can click the specific resources in the legend and it will show only that one specific one.

ixu MergedTo make it fair, the votes for feature quests should be extrapolated to 100% for people with impairments. So in the case of colour blindness (approx. 5%), each vote should actually count as 20 votes.

Tordah MergedI completely agree with this, I can't see the difference between Limestone and Copper personally.

Samuel+1 on the tooltips, contrast and icons
A lot of "colorblind modes" in games just do some color balance adjusting to try to help and, at least for me, it hardly helps but still makes everything look off. Iron ore is red, grass is green, I might have a hard time seeing one under/next to the other, but that's what I see in the real world, and generally that's what I'd expect to see in a game.
However, clear contrast and more icons increase "legibility" in any UI regardless of colorblindness (or their types).
The one spot in the UI where I personally feel impaired is not being able to see the subtle red glow on the squares where a blueprint isn't compatible; it's a pain trying to line buildings up with a specific gap, and if I want to place a farm, but there's a tile of stone somewhere, I need to call my kids into the room and have them tell me where the red square is.
And (just to pack this all into one comment): option for a tooltip of the terrain type while hovering over terrain.
