Stacking goods when mining and separate them later
Why are excavators separate goods when they are digging? It would be nice that excavators load al sorts of materials together in the mining trucks. Rock, dirt, and coal for instance. The trucks dump the load in a lose storage. So the storage is mixed materials. With a belt to some sort of splitter. Like the tv show gold rush. Maybe it should look like the crusher. With 2 outputs with one to select which product you want to separate and the other output is the rest. If you dasychain these splitters you can separate every product. So the trucks go not very far away to bring half a bucket of dirt to the other side of the island. Other trucks empty the lose storage with dirt and wait for full freight
Pro's
- efficient mining
- excavators load the trucks always full
- more realistic
- dedecatated trucks for mining
- other trucks drive the waste of the mine away

DarkaiserI can see this as a T2 or T3 tech because by then you're moving LOTS of material around the dig site.

ZlondrejSince mining trucks can now transport mixed cargo and sorters were already implemented, then we only need early unlock of loose material sorter and storage and support for mixed loose storage. Maybe some T0 loose storage which holds 60 units made out of wood/bricks which would get replaced by small loose storage upon research (in the menu).
