Advanced Diesel Engine

Right now, diesel can be a major source of hassle when designing and balancing oil refineries.

Power production is a convenient way to get rid of most other petroleum products, but diesel is currently rather awful. You either spend 2 maintenance per diesel on the current diesel generators, or lose 56% of its energy content (relative to diesel generators) by converting it to naphtha and boiling that. A simple boiler recipe might help, but real-world applications usually burn diesel in an internal combustion engine.

I would suggest a mid- or late-game diesel engine to fill this niche. To match the efficiency of the early game generators, 27.78 diesel/min would need to generate 2 MW of mechanical power. To add a little bit of flair, similar to real-world combined-cycle power plants, another option is to have 1.5 MW of mechanical power and 24 water -> 24 LP steam/min. The exact amount of diesel can be adjusted to increase or decrease efficiency.
