I see a lack of fast long distance resource transfer across the island, a train system that is able to be set up to players need along with different engines say small, medium, large steam engines or diesel electric or hydrogen could be a solution, trains could excel at long distance resource movement but be stuck with a set path and very gentle slopes or another way to fix this could be road trains and be restricted to certain surface types it can travel on and rather gentle slopes

i did search and upvoted all similar ideas, i just wanted to throw a more modular version of the idea out there and some balancing ideas/pros and cons for them
