Factorio Like Logic System
I see a post about logic states on buildings and transports, but I would like to suggest a more complicated but more useful system of managing products. This could be done through the addition of a combinator like structure and wires. Given the scale of the game, it makes sense to not have 4 different combinators, but rather 1 combined building that houses all logic systems.
In addition, if you examine the node based logic system of Barotrauma, I personally believe that that kind of system would be the most fitting system since it would allow for the completion of complex logic in a single building, whilst still remaining fairly easy to learn for the new player. This would be simpler and more modular than logic states on individual buildings and transports because it would allow a central control center for logic which makes it easier to understand what is happening. Lastly, if you add wire highlighting it would make it even easier to see what's happening.

KayserI would second some kind of logic control system. However, I think that a system like Factorio's would not be 100% fitting, because it would occupy too much space and break the immersion of CoI. Since, electricity is also hidden in CoI, it would not make sense if logic controller would require additional wiring.
My suggestion would be a single building e.g. a Production Control Tower. Within the UI of this building, complex rules could be drawn to control the behavior of production buildings, e.g. when some storage is more than so many percent full, then turn off production building X. The control building could require a technology like Basic Computing and/or 4 TFlops of computing power, so it would not deter new players.
