smaller solar panels

Now "one" solar panel is made out of 4 smaller, it would be great (more space effective for unuseable space and better scalable) to have the ability to place the smaller ones.
My idea is that you have these large which are allready there and some the are one quarter of the actual, they could have a quarter of output and maintence.
I think that is relatively easy done by dividing the larger one into four parts.
