Let Vehicles Path through Planned Buildings
Vehicles currently path around planned buildings. This can cause a problem with vehicle routing if you're planning a long pipeline or a large factory. Therefore, I would like to see vehicles drive through planned buildings much like any construction site. This could be done through a toggle on the planned building to allow/block pathing (with a set default like the priorities). Once a building is unpaused, then standard pathing applies.
For the people who don't want vehicles driving through the "construction site" aka paused buildings, there can be an option to make no-drive zones. This could be done through the captain's office, like the forestry/mining towers, but with the ability to set more than one zone.
Or both zones and toggles to let players decide their preferred style.

PTTGThis would likely cause trucks to get stuck inside complicated constructions unless the player puts careful thought into the layout... which would also prevent the trucks from needing to pass through blueprints. I'm not convinced this would actually solve more problems than it creates.

impyreI agree... allowing trucks to path through blueprints *sounds* good, but in reality it complicates things more than simplifies them. As it works now, if I plop down blueprints, trucks *immediately* respond with pathing as if the structure had already been built, which can make it really easy to see when you obstruct traffic while building. And since you can refund blueprints and partially constructed buildings for *full* value, this means you actually have to demolish built structures less often. If a truck is stuck in the middle of a planned factory due to placed blueprints, you're much more likely to be looking at it when it gets stuck... whereas if it becomes stuck later when the building is built but you've already moved on to do something else... it may take some time before you realize.
