Option to Toggle Mining/Dump Designations when in Resource View

The designation overlay can make it difficult to see the resource markers as they are consumed, even if you have otherwise normal vision. A toggle on the resource panel to enable/disable the designation overlay would be an easy fix.

This is already possible. Designations are togglable on the top of the resource view.

Overlay view when you use the Layers Tool, bottom left.
Click on the little colored squares.
