Allow users the ability to create and share islands on the Steam Workshop, provided with tools to shape these new beginnings to their liking, whether to provide a more relaxed experience or a greater challenge, ranging from scrap-only, free range plains, or being forced to carve your way through the Rocky Mountains.

Also grants the dev team a way of adding a type of seasonal challenge aspect to the game, which could draw a wider audience.

The customization of maps and user edited ones in a special map editor have been discussed.
Isn't this on the Roadmap?

Vraiment partant pour un éditeur de carte !!!
SANS Limite de taille de carte, ni de ressource sur la map joueur.
Peut être que ça dénature un peu la fonction map world, mais ça peut être vraiment génial !!!
Pourquoi ne pas penser à la fonction partager des cartes ;) ...

I use that captain of cheats to add more land but this addition would be awesome
