Polish on Pipe and Conveyer Belt placement

It seems that the placement of Piping and Belts feels very Bulky and sometimes difficult to master, even when the snapping action is turned on or off it seems that this is a rough task..
Would be great to see a "softer" feel on the placement and snapping of these structures,
