Suggestion: Local Vessels
Each set of vessels has a home dock associated with it, the vessel(s) are built alongside it and are ‘scuttled’ when the dock is demolished. The local dock doubles as a ‘forestry/mining’ tower, defining an area, where to work, and what to do. Pathfinding uses the same accessibility mapping as trucks do except with water depth.
Fishing pier: produces fresh fish for local consumption and/or processing for further products.
Dredger’s Dock: acts like a seagoing mining tower, degenerate an area with a mining order and the dredger will mine, mining speed depends on material hardness and depth. Overall dredging is a tier slower than an equal excavator but has the upsides of large cargo hold, not needing to fill the area first. The dock only outputs mixed if ore sorting is turned off.

willvetteFishing Pier levels:
• Fishing pier 1: wood is used for the small fishing boat that uses some fuel for an outboard motor, pickup and drop off only.
• Fishing pier 2: iron is used for the 2 medium fishing boats, adds a flat out for fish, a U-shaped out for fish byproduct, a fluid in for fuel.
• Fishing pier 3 steel is used for the 2 large fishing trawlers, no new in/outs.
Dredger’s Dock levels:
• Dredger’s dock 1: iron is used for the medium iron dredging vessel that mines like a small excavator with a 'haul truck' sized hold, has 1 U-shaped output, a fluid in for fuel.
• Dredger’s dock 2: steel is used for the large steel dredging vessel that mines like a excavator with a triple 'haul truck' sized hold, has 2 U-shaped outputs, a fluid in for fuel.
