If excavator bucket not full, fill it up before offloading
Massive issue with an excavator (20 slots) when working with pickups (20 slots) and trucks (60 slots)
So when working in a mine, sometimes an excavator will fill it's bucket less than 100%, which causes a massive issue, it will make it so the excavator will need 2 scoops to fill a pickup instead of 1, which makes the mine 50% slower and 4 scoops instead of 3 scoops when filling a truck
99% of the time, the bucket will fill to 100%, but if it doesn't fill to 100%, he will never go back to filling 100% until I manually remove the content of the bucket(by manually moving the excavator)
Could this be fixed by implementing a check like this: if bucket fill level NOT 100% go mine before filling the truck, so when the excavator scoops small piece of material(<100%) go mine again to fill 100% instead of unloading to truck

suggesterIn other words, why is he sitting there with, for example, 30% of the bucket, go scoop up more? I never worked in real-life excavation, but it's kinda silly that he is waiting there for trucks with half-full bucket

Rolling StenIn IRL you do not have exact capacity - you just dump what you have and if truck is full enough you don't top it exactly. But if you need to, you can conserve fuel by not filling it to full. But in IRL you usually do not fill truck with one bucket.
It would certainly be worth to either refill the bucket or scoop only the remaining amount of waiting truck. -

KayserI'm annoyed by this, too. And it's virtually guaranteed to happen after awhile, as soon as the tiles last content is not divisible by 20 (5% chance). So, it's often less efficient. And Excavator does not seem to be able to move with contents in the bucket.
