Add a Dozer vehicle whose job is clearing and flattening land, by acting as both an excavator and a truck in one. A dozer pushes material around, therefore can’t be used to scoop material up but is able to pickup and move material around locally. It picks up twice the amount of an excavator but is half the speed of a truck. Like the other vehicles there three tiers:
1. Skid-Steer; farm tractor with a dozer blade
2. Dozer; “Caterpillar D9”
3. Bulldozer; look-up “Acco super bulldozer”
While it can’t be used to mine nor carry material over long distances, it does excel at flattening land especially when paired with a stacker. The stacker dumps material on the ground and a dozer or two uses the material to flatten the land around it. The other ability it has is clearing land, knocking down trees without harvesting their wood.
Add-on: make it so trucks aren’t good at leveling with an increasing margin of error per tier and leave it to the dozer to get a true level. -

DarkaiserI could see something that would be better at smoothing rough terrain but that can't transport anything.

MoffmasterIf it was able to assist excavators by being assignable to a mining tower where it would work bunching up materials of the same time (no more 1-unit-of-dirt scoops in a mega excavator) this could be useful.

MillerThey should also be in fill areas so trucks dont get to close to edges... Have 3 different sizes like the rest. The cleaning up idea is great too. Like when you have one tile that is slightly higher and trucks cant get to an excavator the dozers could slope it to allow access. Basically they carry a short distance leveling/Carrying/smoothing tool. Keeps excavators from shitty scoops like stated before. So they could also be used to push over burden off the top of a resource. SO the Coal say has 2 or 3 full tiles on top, they dozer could move the dirt off the top to keep excavators from loading it. It doesnt leave the area. Later push it back in the hole and use it to farm over the area again after mining is done. Also can build roads.

DrPhroggI have thought that bulldozer vehicles have been needed ever since I saw the stacker was under development. Since a stacker will deposit materiel that is already friable, there is no need to have excavators and trucks to load it, or level it. These jobs would be much more suitable for front-end loaders and bulldozers, respectively. Two levels of loaders: backhoe-loader (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backhoe_loader#:~:text=This%20type%20of%20machine%20is,loader%20and%20rear%20backhoe%20attachment.) and a large dedicated front-end loader (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loader_(equipment)) with perhaps a middle version, a smaller loader, in keeping with your three-model vehicle motif. Loaders would load the loose material for transport to further locations, bulldozers would be used with the new leveling tool to level areas, and knock back piles deposited by Stackers.

VBulldozers can also help digging a trench for pipe laying and cover it up later. Or with a massive dirt covering to recultivate land after mine is done. Really useful machine to have on your island.

CalaheimOne option could be to have Bulldozers assigned to stackers so they will auto level to a set height within a volume. same way mining area gets set. and once the height is reached disabled the stacker. Would mean you can just hookup a belt and leave it till the alarm goes off.

Danielnice but i think hard to really implment.
i think i might have a better suggestion: a grader. skims an area and dumps in another spot/area. maybe the excavators could do it too, one bucket at a time.
but honestly we have just scratch the surface on vehicles. so many more can come out. pile drivers, mobile crane clam shell digger,
however the good thing is if they can make a bulldozer, they can make explosives to blow the side of mountains too :) :) :)
