let large sorting plant accept conveyor input (or two)

  This only works if we also get a dumping station so trucks can drop in mixed ore.
  As of now the only place mixed ore can be dropped it the sorting plant.\
  
  Sure would be nice to have as an option.

  I'm having the same thought. Why would you want to put stuff into the sorting plant? (aside from trucks with mixed cargo)
  I even uncheck the "allow non-mixed loads" and make sure I have storages for each resource to minimize its use.

  but isn't' the point of the sorting plant to receive the mixed cargo and sort it ? why have an option to belt in mixed cargo ? put it closer to the mine

  2: this opens up the options other than you suggest. for instance one central sorting plant with belts in from multiple mining sites.
  the key to a game is options and choices and industrial chains.
