Suggestion: Improve Truck Fuel Logic and Add Global Refueling Threshold

Dear Captain of Industry Team,

I would like to propose two enhancements to truck fuel mechanics.

Problem 1 – Refueling Search Radius
Currently, the game selects a fuel station based on a circular radius around the truck, ignoring actual driving distance. Terrain obstacles and winding roads make the real path much longer than the straight‑line radius. Trucks frequently run out of fuel before reaching the station because their tank capacity cannot cover the actual route.

Proposal 1
Replace the radius check with proper pathfinding that computes real travel distance. The truck should only choose a station if its remaining fuel can cover the full round‑trip or at least the one‑way distance based on the actual road length.

Problem 2 – No Global Refuel Threshold
Trucks only trigger refueling when fuel drops to a fixed low percentage (around 10‑20%). For long‑haul routes, this threshold is too low and causes mid‑route failures. Although per‑storage minimums exist, there is no global setting for all trucks.

Proposal 2
Add a global adjustable percentage in game options or vehicle management, allowing players to set when trucks automatically seek fuel – similar to the train refuel logic already in the game.

These changes would reduce tedious micromanagement and make logistics much more reliable. Thank you for your continued work on this great game.

Sincerely,
A dedicated player
